I was out in Barsebäck this weekend in my family's summer cottage, and this amazing fog drifted in from the sea. I snapped A LOT of photographs, and I find this one of the better ones. Very minimalistic, but that's how i prefer landscape/nature photos.

Well, the photoblog is finally back online and I'm going to try to start updating it quite frequently again. Have been crazy busy the last six months, as I was working on the final thesis for my bachelor in interaction design. It's done now, so now I might have some time to actually go outside again :)

A night shot / detail shot from the newly built (or renovated?) buss-station at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. I absolutely love shooting black&white photographs with the D300. Just crank the ISO up to 3200, set it to black&white and maximum contrast. The grain is just absolutely lovely, but would never work with color. Doesn't matter though, since black&white is so nice.

Rainbow Bee-eater at Mutitjulu Waterhole

This is by far my best shot ever of a bird, and it took quite a while to get. After the Rainbow Bee-eater found an insect to eat I pretty much just held the shutter down to catch the whole sequence (6fps) and this is the best photo from the sequence. It's taken at the Mutitjulu Waterhole at Uluru (Ayers Rock) in Australia. The Mutitjulu Waterhole at Uluru is the most reliable waterhole around Uluru and a great deal of the wildlife depends on it to survive.

Shot from the car on the way back from the diving trip in Moreton bay. Unfortunately I had abort during my first dive due to squeeze and had to stay the rest of the trip on the boat. It's something that happens fairly rarely, so I basically just had really bad luck. Next time I hope to get more value for my money :)

This is a shot from my first day in Brisbane. During that day I went down to the botanical gardens in CBD and walked around, and then visited the Gardens Point campus where I now study. Anyways, I really like this shot since it's a nice bird and the lighting is pretty fantastic.

Noosa main beach

Shot last weekend during my trip to Noosa together with some new found friends. We learned to surf and partied like there was no tomorrow and it was an awesome weekend, but it took a couple of days to recover from. Life has settled down a bit here in Brisbane now, but I have some photography plans that I hope to realize quite soon.

Okay, so I live in Brisbane now. Still not quite adjusted, and have a lot of stuff going on. Apparently I forgot to bring the USB-cable for my camera so I haven't been able to transfer my photos until today when I was able to borrow a cable from one of my room-mates here. Anyways, here is a shot of the Culture Centre Bus-station I took earlier tonight. Enjoy!
